"All I Ever" was composed and recorded in the solitude of a makeshift studio in West Marin. Surrounded by trees and fresh air, I avoided the digital recording techniques that felt familiar and instead explored purely analog sequencers, synthesizers, and effects pedals. Rhythmic and melodic repetition and looping provide a foundation, allowing for experimentation with tone and timbre. This is an etude, a practice in the live manipulation and distortion of a simple, peaceful idea.
