Sound is a spatial event, an auditory experience that unfolds over time. Even though sound does not have a physical form, it can be described using vectors of distance, direction, and location. Every space can modify, position, reflect or reverberate the sounds that can occur. Sound can be understood as an architectural process that works in the field of acoustics but also transcends into emotional and aesthetic dimensions. This dives into the world of storytelling and emotional illusionism. Giving content not just to the acoustical aspect but also designing architecture with sound to tell a story of a space.

Sound is considered an invisible layer of architecture, a sonically perceived space that is not necessarily dependent on the visual stimuli. In that sense, sound does not necessarily need to match the supposed acoustic characteristics of a visual space but can be thought about as a way of altering the perceptual narrative and emotional aspects of that space. By altering the sounds in a space our perception of that setting begins to question what the circumstance or event of that space is.

Sound Manner is an empirical study of sound of the perception of the built environment as an architectural design space. In the way of resolving the subjective-objective and diegetic and non-diegetic dynamics. By bringing all these auditory experiences into a single setting that allows us to experience the built environment and the public. Giving the individual a perceptual narrative of that space.
